Sunday the 24th snow fest.

Woke up at 5:15 am needing to be in front of Daegu Bank by 6. Layered up and hopped in a cab to get to the pick up spot. Got there and got on the bus and headed to the next pick up spot where most everyone else was who stayed up all night downtown. They all got on, still drunk and sloppy. Pretty funny, because they were all wired for the first 15 minutes of the bus ride and once the lights went out in the bus everyone fell asleep. After a 4 hour bus ride we arrive at the Taebek snow festival! Taebek is an hour east of Seoul, so it was pretty chilly out their, but unfortunately not much snow, but lots of ice. Walked to the festival where we were supposed to be able to build snowmen, go dog sledding, sledding, etc, but realized that most of the activities were geared toward smaller children. In any event, we made the most of it going sledding down a pretty big hill and walking around viewing all the beautiful ice sculptures, trying not to bust ass on the ice. People were falling over the place and don't know if they have figured out salt helps that problem. However, the sculptures were absolutely stunning and made the trip worth it. Not only was the event fun, but I finally got to talk to people outside the bar, which was nice, even though some might have still been drunk. It was good to see people in a different environment. 4:30 came and we all headed back to the bus and headed home.

Another great weekend in Daegu!
